Did you know that we’re about to be hit by the biggest health insurance increase in more than seven years?
On April 1, 2025, health insurers are set to raise premiums once again, with the average annual increase going up 3.73% on April 1, 2025.
Some insurers, like AIA, Bupa and NIB are going up by more than 5%, while Police Health is rocketing up by a huge 9.56%.
Yes, the actual premium change differs between health funds and their individual policies, which isn’t such great news for our hip pockets.
At Your Money & Your Life, we constantly hear from readers and viewers that health insurance is one areas that feels needlessly complicated areas, making it virtually impossible for the consumer to untangle and sort out. It’s like comparing apples with oranges – you get this, you don’t get that. Your excess is this, your extras cover that.
But we are not powerless when that renewal letter lands in our inboxes. As consumers, we have the power to be savvy and shop around.
There’s a lot you can do to get a better deal – and we’re going to provide you with the tips and tricks you need to know to get a better deal for you and your loved ones.
