David Koch is back for a brand-new season of Your Money & Your Life, airing every Thursday 2PM (AEDT) on the Seven Network from February 1, 2024.
Your Money & Your Life, which first debuted in 2021, is a personal finance TV show aimed at helping all Australians save, spend, invest and manage their money better.
“We want to help everyday Australians keep more money for themselves during these tough times of inflation and interest rate hikes,” says David Koch, fresh from being awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his services to television and economic journalism.
“There are so many things you can do to ease the strain on your household budget that may be right under your nose.”
Each week, Kochie and industry experts offer tips and strategies to help navigate cost of living pressures. In a segment called Kochie’s Budget Challenge, Kochie visits everyday Australians – families, couples, singles, retirees – to look at their biggest bills and financial leaks to get them better deals, with the help of price comparison website Compare the Market.
From big-ticket items like mortgages to increasingly costly regular expenses like car insurance, home and contents insurance and health insurance, Kochie shows case studies how they can find more money on the table – and hit their financial goals faster and smarter.
“We go to people’s kitchen tables and give them a budget makeover. It’s been absolutely extraordinary seeing just how much people can save. We’ve found thousands and thousands of dollars for the families we’ve visited,” says Kochie, Compare the Market’s Economic Director.
“This is serious money that can mean the difference between a family holiday or staying in the home you love. There are tips everyone can take away and we can’t wait to show you.”
